ITINERARY

Day 1: Arrival in La Paz
Arrive in La Paz, Bolivia’s vibrant capital set in a dramatic valley, and take in the breathtaking views of the surrounding Andean mountains. After settling in, take a leisurely walk through the Witches’ Market and explore the colonial architecture of the city.
Overnight in La Paz.

Day 2: La Paz City Tour & Moon Valley
Take a guided tour through La Paz, visiting the historic Plaza Murillo and San Francisco Church, as well as the Valle de la Luna (Moon Valley), where wind and water have shaped the landscape into an almost extraterrestrial terrain. Experience the contrasts between ancient cultures and modern Bolivia as you learn about the indigenous traditions and local life.
Overnight in La Paz.

Day 3: La Paz – Uyuni
Fly from La Paz to Uyuni, a small town in southwestern Bolivia known as the gateway to the famous Salar de Uyuni (Uyuni Salt Flats). Upon arrival, get ready to witness one of the most surreal natural wonders in the world. The vast, white expanse of the salt flats stretches endlessly, creating a mesmerizing illusion of infinity.
In the afternoon, enjoy a tour of the Train Graveyard, an eerie collection of rusted locomotives and carriages just outside of Uyuni.
Overnight in Uyuni.

Day 4: Uyuni Salt Flats Adventure
Set out early in the morning to explore the Salar de Uyuni, the world’s largest salt flat. The vastness of the salt flats, stretching over 10,000 square kilometers (3,900 square miles), is truly awe-inspiring. Visit the Isla Incahuasi, an island in the middle of the flats, covered with ancient cacti and offering panoramic views of the surrounding salt desert.

Sunset at the Salt Flats: Capture the stunning colors of the sunset as the salt flats take on vibrant hues.
Overnight in Uyuni.

Day 5: Uyuni – Eduardo Avaroa National Reserve
Head south towards Eduardo Avaroa National Reserve, an area renowned for its unique landscapes, including lagunas (lakes), geysers, and volcanic peaks. Visit the Laguna Colorada, a striking red lake that’s home to thousands of flamingos, and the Sol de Mañana geyser field, where you can witness bubbling mud pots and steam vents.
Overnight in a basic lodge or unique desert accommodation.

Day 6: Eduardo Avaroa National Reserve – San Pedro de Atacama (Chile)
Continue your exploration of the Eduardo Avaroa National Reserve, visiting the otherworldly Laguna Verde at the foot of the Licancabur Volcano. The lake’s intense green color is due to the high levels of arsenic, and the surrounding volcanic landscapes create a dramatic contrast with the bright hues of the water. Afterward, cross the border into Chile and make your way to the desert town of San Pedro de Atacama.
Overnight in San Pedro de Atacama, Chile.

Day 7: San Pedro de Atacama – Salar de Atacama
Spend the day exploring the desert landscapes around San Pedro de Atacama. Visit the Valle de la Luna (Valley of the Moon), where you can witness the stunning rock formations and salt deposits that make this area one of the most photogenic places in South America. In the afternoon, head to the Salar de Atacama, a salt flat surrounded by volcanoes and home to the Laguna Chaxa, a saltwater lagoon where you can spot flamingos.
Overnight in San Pedro de Atacama.

Day 8: Departure from San Pedro de Atacama
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your departure from San Pedro de Atacama or continue your travels.
